Experience canoeing by the light of the full moon. The moon's bright light reflects off the shimmering Hocking River to provide a truly romantic experience. Let your senses guide you in the wonders of night time canoeing. We push off at sunset and descend back to the canoe livery for an relaxing evening. Watch the wildlife setting in for the night. We will depart from the Canoe Livery an hour before sunset to Trip 1 Crockett's Run. The trip is approximately 5 miles and 2 hours. As the moon rises to light the way you will be able to canoe back to the canoe livery where a roaring bonfire, marshmallow roast, complimentary glass of wine and a night of live entertainment awaits. The trip is available in canoes only. Reservations Required. Moonlight tours tend to book full one to two weeks in advance. It is recommended to bring a flashlight. Call for more information. |

Experience canoeing by the light of the moon. On this date we will canoe under the Waxing Crescent Moon. As the Moon moves around the Earth it becomes more illuminated and provides light that reflects off the Hocking River. In addition to the moon, we also provide tiki torches for each canoe to help navigate the river. The tiki torches also help in viewing the wildlife that will be settling in for the night. We push off at sunset and descend back to the canoe livery for an evening of relaxation. We will depart from the Canoe Livery an hour before sunset to Trip 1 Crockett's Run. The trip is approximately 5 miles and 2 hours. We float back to the canoe livery while a roaring bonfire, s' mores, a night of live entertainment awaits. The trip is available in canoes only. Unfortunately some people may never stop emptying their trash in the river, but we will never stop our efforts to maintain a healthily eco-system. Join us along with Friends of the Hocking River (FOHR) in the 29th annual river clean up celebration! Clean up starts at 8:30am. All participants will be provided a canoe, paddle, lifejacket, trash bags, gloves and transportation to designated locations. Everyone will be assigned into groups to ensure the entire river gets clean. Afterwards we will have a cookout along with music and games. Everyone is welcome! |

| On Friday July 3rd come canoeing and then enjoy a great family movie free of charge. We will be setting up a projector to play a movie around 7:00pm . Join us! |

Fine Wine, the value of old baseball cards, Lost (TV Series), technology, and Hocking Valley Canoe Livery are a few things that keep getting better with time. We thank our customers for that. The feat would not be possible without our loyal customers. July 20th-July 24th we give customers a buy one canoe get one free canoe rental. Bring your pet canoeing! Bring your family and friends, but don’t forget your best friend… your pet! Hocking Valley Canoe Livery is always pet friendly, but on September 12th it’s all about you and your pet! All pets welcome! It’s time to let your pet have some canoeing fun too. Your pet can enjoy the fresh air, open river, go for a swim, and get a free Hocking Valley Canoe Livery bandana! During Pet-a-Paloosa $3 of every canoe rental will be donated to the Hocking County Humane Society to help unfortunate animals find a home; maybe with their new family they can enjoy a canoe trip too. |
| Canoe for the Cure September 26th |
Breast Cancer is disease that leads to the end of millions of woman every year. On September 26 th take a stand and join us in CANOE FOR THE CURE. Hocking Valley Canoe Livery will be sponsoring canoe races, events, and prizes in which all proceeds will go to the National Breast Cancer Foundation! Even though there is no cure for breast cancer, we can make a difference! There will be several prizes awarded for each different race! More information to follow “When you choose hope, anything is possible.” |
| Halloween on the Hocking - october 31st |
Corn mazes can be scary and hunted houses can be terrifying, but nothing compares to the thrill of Halloween on the Hocking! On this hunted night, we canoe a five mile stretch under the creepiness of the full moon. Stay close together since we do not know who may be lurking around the river bend! Hot Chocolate, snacks, and music along with a roaring bonfire will be offered for those lucky enough to make it back from the canoe trip. Costume Contest! Warning: Be prepared to be scared! Families and friends welcomed Costumes recommended! |
