Find Great Fun in The Hills!

Canoe the Scenic Hocking Hills

Canoeing in the Hocking Hills is the perfect way to ensure a relaxing day. Unlike many summer activities canoeing has the unique ability to soothe, calm and refresh. Imagine spending the day with your friends and family as you canoe pass scenic hills and rock formations. Start your trip by taking a few minutes to explore one of Hocking Hill's best kept secrets, the Natural Rockbridge. Make sure you take several pictures before you get back in your canoe; your going to want proof that you were at the largest natural bridge. As you continue down the Hocking, feel free to stop at any sandbar or river island. Sometimes it is great to have lunch on a sandbar away from real life. After lunch collect some river shells (they make good gifts!). Whatever you do, do not paddle too fast; you might miss a Great Blue Heron, a King Fisher, or a Leather Back Turtle laying out in the sun. No matter the trip, stop along the Hocking to enjoy whatever interests you!
