Friends of Hocking River
The river clean up is sponsored by the Friends of the Hocking River. Their mission is to preserve the environmental integrity, educate the general public, and promote the wise use of the Hocking River and its watershed. River Clean Up – Community Event
There is no doubt that river sweeps are instrumental in maintaining a clean river and the success of this event depends on your participation. Friends of the HockingRiver (FOHR) sponsors an annual river clean up celebration!There will be one river clean scheduled for 2022. The event starts at 8:00am. All participants will be provided a canoe, paddle, lifejacket, trash bags, gloves and transportation to designated locations. Everyone will be assigned into groups to ensure the entire river gets clean. Afterwards we will have a cookout to thank all of the participants! You will have a blast participating in the fun community service event! The event is Free to the public.

Twice a year HHA organizes a Hocking River clean up. How much and where the river is cleaned depends on participation. Canoes, PFDS, Paddles and Trash bags are provided.
