A Few things to Keep in Mind

Stay Together. Paddle Together. Make Memories Together.

Rafting is one of the best ways for families, first-time paddlers, and groups to experience the Hocking River. Unlike canoes or kayaks, everyone stays together in the same raft, making it easy to relax, laugh, and enjoy the adventure as a team.

Our rafts are stable, comfortable, and perfect for parents with young children or anyone looking for a more laid-back trip down the river.

A Few Things to Keep in Mind

Rafts are larger and heavier than canoes and kayaks. During periods of lower water, they move more slowly and may require a little extra paddling. Because of this, most rafting trips take approximately 2–3 hours, depending on river conditions.

When water levels are higher, rafting becomes even more enjoyable, allowing you to float with less effort while taking in the beautiful scenery of the Hocking Hills.

Before You Go

Water levels on the Hocking River change throughout the season. During very low water, rafts may not be available or we may recommend a canoe or kayak for a smoother trip. If you’re unsure which boat is best for your group, our staff will be happy to help you choose the best option based on current river conditions.
