Hocking Hills Crockets Run FAQs

What types of boats can we use on this trip?

Guests may choose from:

  • Canoe- Departs on the hour from 10am-4pm
  • Single kayak-Departs on the hour from 10am-4pm
  • Tandem kayak- Departs on the hour from 10am-4pm
  • Raft- Departs only 11AM
  • Tube- Tubes depart only 11AM AND 12PM

All boats, paddles, and life jackets are included with your trip.

The trip covers approximately five  miles and typically takes 1–2 hours on the water, depending on river conditions and how often you stop to relax or swim.

We recommend bringing:

  • Sunscreen
  • Water
  • Snacks or a small cooler
  • Secure footwear (water shoes or sandals)

There are no places to purchase food or drinks along the river.

 

Have your own kayak or canoe? No problem! We offer shuttle service for personal kayaks and canoes. You can paddle the Hocking River and we’ll help get you and your boat back to your vehicle.  Book personal kayak tranports here

We recommend leaving your keys with us for safekeeping while you’re on the river. Please lock all other valuables securely in your vehicle, as we are not responsible for lost or stolen items.


Be sure to use a watertight case for your phone, and avoid bringing any valuables you are not comfortable getting wet.

Yes. You’re welcome to slow down, float, or take short breaks along the river as conditions allow. Many guests enjoy relaxing and taking in the scenery along this stretch.

Yes dogs and pets are welcome on all canoe and kayak trips! 

The raft trip departs at 11:00 AM, giving you plenty of time to relax, enjoy the river, and take in the beauty of Hocking Hills.

Rafting is available when river levels are high enough to safely float rafts. In general, rafts are available during early to mid-summer.  Rafts are not available during low water conditions (below 100 CFS). Please check our river conditions page 

We understand that unexpected circumstances can arise, making cancellations necessary. Our policy allows refunds if you notify us at least 7 days before your arrival date, minus a $10 processing fee. If you purchase Trip Protection, you can reschedule or request a refund up to one hour (FOR ANY REASON) before your scheduled trip.
