This is your complete guide to kayaking in Hocking Hills for 2026. Let’s get into it.
Why Kayaking in Hocking Hills is Unlike Anywhere Else in Ohio
Hocking Hills is one of Ohio’s most breathtaking natural regions — ancient sandstone cliffs, old-growth forests, and the winding Hocking River cutting through it all. Kayaking here isn’t just exercise. It’s a full immersion in nature that you simply can’t get anywhere else in the Midwest.
Whether you’re a first-time paddler or an experienced kayaker, the Hocking River offers calm, scenic stretches that are perfect for all skill levels. No white water, no stress — just you, your kayak, and miles of beautiful river.
What Makes Our Kayaking Experience Different
Not all kayaking trips are the same. Here’s what sets Hocking Hills Adventures apart:
We’re the only outfitter with direct access to Natural Rockbridge Natural Rockbridge is one of Hocking Hills’ most iconic landmarks — a stunning natural stone arch that spans the river. We are the only canoe livery with a landing directly across from it. You won’t see it from any other outfitter.
50 years of experience We’ve been on this river since 1976. We know every bend, every current, and every condition. That experience means a safer, better trip for you.
Trips for every skill level Never kayaked before? No problem. Our staff will get you set up and on the water with confidence. Experienced paddler? We have longer routes that will keep you challenged and engaged.
Affordable pricing starting at $27 We believe everyone should be able to experience the Hocking River. Our kayak trips start at just $27 per person, making it one of the best value outdoor experiences in Ohio.
